National Council for Science and Technology (NCST) was created in 1975 under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble President. NCST's objectives are to develop Science and Technology, its extension and successful application. NCST was reorganized several times, i.e., 1980, 1983, 1991, 1994 and 1997. Under the latest reorganization (3 May 1997), the Hon'ble Prime Minister is the Chairperson of NCST. |

Executive Committee of NCST (ECNCST) ECNCST was reconstituted in 3 may, 1998 and comprising of 20 members. The Hon'ble Minister, Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology is the Chairman of the Committee and Secretary, MOSICT acts as its Member-Secretary. |
